Jackson Soloist Guitar - Jackson Soloist Electric Guitar
Jackson Soloist Guitar
Widely acclaimed by rock and metal lead guitarists since it's
introduction in 1984, the Jackson Soloist has a SuperStrat
body type though several important improvements such as neck-thru
design, Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo bridges, Seymour
Duncan pickups, and premium woods make the Soloist a top-of-the-line
guitar worthy of praise.
How does a compound radius rosewood fingerboard help my
playing?
Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically
at the nut allowing for easier chording, and flattens out
as you near the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting
out.
What is Neck-Thru Design?
Neck-thru (or neck-through) design involves extending the
piece of wood used for the neck through the entire length
of the guitar body. The strings, fretboard, pickups and bridge
are all mounted on to this neck piece. Next the guitar "wings"
(i.e. side parts of the guitar body) are glued or laminated
to the central "stick". Harder to mass-produce than
more common bolt-on necks, Neck-thru designs are mainly features
of high-end guitars like the Jackson Soloist. Neck-thru designs
adds increased sustain and resonance, additionally neck-thru
designs allow easier access to the upper frets because there
is no heel where the neck is typically bolted on.
