Line 6 Variax Modeling Guitar - A whole guitar
collection in a single instrument.
Variax combines Line 6's exclusive modeling technology with
an invitingly playable, high-quality, custom-crafted solidbody
guitar to accurately reproduce the sounds of a variety of classic
6- and 12-string electric and acoustic guitars, plus other fretted
instruments such as a resonator, banjo, and electric sitar.
Instead of standard magnetic pickups, the Variax detects string
vibrations with a hexaphonic bridge pickup, converts the signals
to digital and processes them using software algorithms, then
reconverts to analog so the signal can be sent direct to a guitar
amp. As a result, single-coil sounds are noise-free, acoustic
instrument sounds can be played at high volume without feedback,
and a variety of classic guitar tones are available at the flick
of a switch. The Line 6 Variax Electric guitar features a contoured alder body, maple
neck with rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium frets, and a 25-1/2"
scale length. Powered by onboard batteries or from footswitch.
Includes gig bag and A/B footswitch.
